Three-dimensional evolution of body and fluid motion near a wall

چکیده

Abstract Evolution of three-dimensional body motion within surrounding fluid is addressed, each affecting the other significantly in a dynamic fluid–body interaction. This unsteady problem set near wall. The spatial three-dimensionality present new feature. For inviscid incompressible fluid, basic nonlinear formulation described, followed by linearised form as first exploration parameter space and solution responses. reduces to solving Poisson’s equation underbody planform, subject mixed boundary conditions coupling with integral equations. Numerical analytical properties show dependence mainly on normal pitch motions, well instability or bounded oscillations depending position centre mass body, variety shapes examined.

A Three-Dimensional Study of Body Motion During Ergometer Rowing

Background: Rowing movements can be simulated using specialized ergometers; the method can be used both for training and indoor assessment of body movements within controlled conditions. Purpose: To perform a three-dimensional quantitative analysis of body movements during ergometer rowing, and to examine if there is a relationship between anthropometry and rowing kinematics. Study Design: Desc...

Numerical Scrutinization of Three Dimensional Casson-Carreau Nano Fluid Flow

This study presents the computational analysis of three dimensional Casson and Carreau nanofluid flow concerning the convective conditions. To do so, the flow equations are modified to nonlinear system of ODEs after using appropriate self-similarity functions. The solution for the modified system is evaluated by numerical techniques. The results show the impacts of involving variables on flow c...

Numerical analysis of a penalization method for the three-dimensional motion of a rigid body in an incompressible viscous fluid

We present and analyze a penalization method wich extends the the method of [2] to the case of a rigid body moving freely in an incompressible fluid. The fluid-solid system is viewed as a single variable density flow with an interface captured by a level set method. The solid velocity is computed by averaging at avery time the flow velocity in the solid phase. This velocity is used to penalize ...

Convergence Analysis of a Penalization Method for the Three-Dimensional Motion of a Rigid Body in an Incompressible Viscous Fluid

We present and analyze a penalization method which extends the the method of [2] to the case of a rigid body moving freely in an incompressible fluid. The fluid-solid system is viewed as a single variable density flow. The interface is captured by a color function satisfying a transport equation. The solid velocity is computed by averaging at every time the flow velocity in the solid phase. Thi...

Particle motion in Stokes flow near a plane fluid-fluid interface. Part 1. Slender body in a quiescent fluid

The present study examines the motion of a slender body in the presence of a plane fluid-fluid interface with an arbitrary viscosity ratio. The fluids are assumed to be at rest at infinity, and the particle is assumed to have an arbitrary orientation relative to the interface. The method of analysis is slender-body theory for Stokes flow using the fundamental solutions for singularities (i.e. S...
